Ann Foskey

Unveiling the Writer

Everyday, from sunup to sundown, I am  entertained, taught, or inspired by something in the natural world. On my morning walks, I laugh at the dramatic social antics of rival groups of crows, wondering what gets them so riled up. In the evenings, when things get quiet, I hear the tiny tapping of a downy woodpecker as it works its way up a tree trunk and I feel myself become still and alert.  And I will  never tire of watching the moon make its way up through the trees.

From counting sea turtles on Sapelo Island to documenting historic and archeological sites across Georgia, I have dedicated my professional career to the preservation of our state's natural and cultural resources. My work as a Heritage Preservationist includes meeting people and sharing their stories.
